UES, Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a US $49,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for power and thermal technologies for the US Air and Space Scientific Research Programme to sponsor scientific research and early development of materials, thermal concepts, battery cells and various other technologies in the four major research areas of power generation, power management and distribution, energy storage and subsystem integration.
At this time, US$200,000 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by November 2010. Solicitation began in July 2003 and negotiations were completed in November 2003.
The US Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-04-D-2404).
